Flyfishing
is the fastest growing participant sport in the world at the moment, and
little wonder. It allows people to escape to the most beautiful surroundings
in the world where trout are found. The art of casting is so intricate
that it is never truly mastered, hence trying for the perfect presentation
of the fly is the most distracting thing imaginable, allowing the mind
to truly cleanse itself of day to day worries. It is also the greatest
leveler; someone with superior intellect, strength or height for instance,
never has an advantage. For this reason it is the ideal corporate experience
as secretaries and Managing Directors now compete on the same level! If
everything goes according to plan and one catches a fish, it will turn
out to be one of the most memorable experiences of ones life, stirring
the hunting spirit in all of us, yet resulting in the fish being carefully
returned to live another day

How we teach flyfishing:
Groups
of two to forty two people at a time can be handled at once. The course
involves a very entertaining while informative introductory talk lasting
about fifteen minutes. After which most of the audience will be quite
intrigued and eager to learn more. This is followed by a casting demonstration,
laying down the basic theoretical principles, this lasts about fifteen
minutes. Then the group is broken up into manageable teams and are distributed
around the various lakes with their own equipment and instructor. No flies
are used at first and the basic concept of fly-casting is soon mastered
through the personnel attention and the renowned REFFIS teaching method.
As the instructors identify keen and able newly born flyfisher people
they progress onto tying on their own flies and attempting to fool the
trout. Within half an hour most people will be controlling the line confidently
and will also have been taught various aspects of reading the water, being
able to make the right selection of fly and hopefully once everything
goes according to plan, how to hook, land and release their first fish!
Above all the morning is designed to be entertaining and fun while at
the same time teaching a new and very challenging skill. We often incorporate
a fun competition into the session, along with a selection of topical
prizes, which are available through our retail section. We also specialize
in having company flies tied up, incorporating the corporate colours and
mounting. We supply all equipment and flies. No specialized clothing is
needed. Above all though bring sunglasses to protect your eyes. We work on a session of two hours for a group of beginners, i.e.
those that have never picked up a fly rod in their lives before and two
flies per angler per session. We travel to any venues, as well as book
with renowned country lodges. For cheaper options we have reputable self
catering accommodation in the village and then use our own waters. We
tailor make weekends and days specifically for the clients needs, river
fishing for more advanced fishermen, targeting specific fish species at
more exotic and remote locations, waterside picnics, competitions with
a variety of themes including prizes for the largest fish, a tagged fish
