Mavugana Flyfishing trout Masterclass Clinic week at Millstream Farm, brought to you by Jonathan Boulton and Stealth Fly Rod and Reel

Millstream Farm is an RCI Gold Crown resort that needs no introduction to those that know the exclusive trout waters around Dullstroom. A fully game fenced 400 ha reserve with 14 weirs and 12 dams provide exceptional fishing throughout the year, especially the two well known trophy dams - Solitary Reaper and Lake Christabel that produce fish of over 3kgs on a regular basis. Accommodation is in a luxurious well appointed double story house and all meals are provided.

Enjoy personally guided fishing on these magnificent waters with well known instructors Jonathan Boulton, Gary Preston and the Mavungana guide team. Improve your casting; learn basic entomology, and how to read the water. Fly selection, leader construction and a myriad of advanced techniques, including fishing emergers, teams of nymphs and tackling huge stillwaters from boats and float tubes. Gary Preston will conduct tackle work shops during the day, allowing anglers to experience different lines and rod and reel outfits. Try out different rods and enjoy an afternoon session fishing a Scott Rod of your choice! In the evening relax in front of the fire, sip a good red, while watching slide shows and just shooting the breeze in very good company.

A typical day:

• Dawn: exceptionally good filter coffee, home baked rusks and hit the water with your guide.
• Midmorning: man-size brunch, relax, tackle try out on the lawn, generally take it easy.
• Late afternoon: tackle and technique discussion hit the water for the famous Millstream evening rise.
• Dusk: head back, freshen up and enjoy drinks and an exceptional meal, followed by a flyfishing slide show each evening on a different flyfishing related topic.
