An air-conditioned people carrier with full public liability will collect you at a central meeting point in Johannesburg or Pretoria and chauffer drive you with refreshments to Dullstroom. Accommodation is in the luxurious 5 star Critchley Hackle lodge, the award winning country hotel that put the village of Dullstroom on the map back in the early 90's.

Enjoy welcome drinks at the lakeside bar along with an informal introductory talk and slide shows by your acclaimed flyfishing hosts - the Casting Directors, Derek and Jonathan.

You will receive your pack of branded technical fishing clothing as well as carefully selected complete flyfishing outfits. This consists of a top of the range imported three piece fly rod with a life time guarantee. Matching reel and spare spool, with floating and sinking lines, and the full range of accessories. You will be awakened bright and early the following morning with fresh coffee and muffins while being taken through the set up of your gear and an introduction to trout fishing. After a casting demonstration you will try your hand on the lake with some close one on one, expert instruction. A leisurely brunch will then be served. A professional falconing team will then indulge you in a private raptor flying display on a nearby property.

After a period of relaxing, afternoon tea will be served and you will be chauffeured off to a yet undisclosed private property to further enrich your flyfishing experience, but be warned Jonathan and Derek will be awarding prizes for not only the best caster and the most fish but those that ended up impaling hooks into their colleagues and falling head first into the lake…

Return to Critchley to freshen up and then off to the Auld Stone House in the village where veteran connoisseur Steve Adams will take you through a whisky tasting experience second to none.

Dinner is at the unique local restaurant Mrs Simpson's run by renowned chef and hosts Steve and Brian. Excellent wines and a four course culinary extravaganza followed by fines and prizes.

Sunday sees an early wake up for those eager to put their newly acquired skills to the test on yet another private piece of water. For the weary eyed a leisurely wake up and roll down to the Critchley lake where fresh coffee and an instructor awaits. Brunch and return to the big city.
