Wily and extremely hard fighters, a fish any flyfisher must have on his caught list. Mavungana are proud to be working with Steelhead Direct, the exclusive agents for this unique Lodge.

This River is home to one of the last, truly unspoiled fisheries in the world. This river offers exceptional, classic fly angling opportunities for Steelhead through the months of September and October, and is recognized internationally by fly anglers as a world-class destination for Steelhead and Rainbow trout. The lodge holds the exclusive guiding rights to all 12 miles of this pristine wilderness river, from its source at Blackwater Lake to its confluence with the mighty Nass - BC's third largest river.

The river is known to biologists as the most important Steelhead tributary of the entire upper Nass system, is designated a Classified Water by Provincial authorities, Access is by air only. They accommodate a maximum of 6 anglers per week, for whom this river essentially becomes their own private water. It is arguably the most remote, pristine, wild, and private Steelhead angling experience available in BC.
