Thaba Metsi offers a unique opportunity to join an exclusive Flyfishing Syndicate in the sought after trout fishing area of Dullstroom. Thaba Metsi syndication includes access to 5 trout fishing dams on this prime farm property only 4km outside the village of Dullstroom. The Thaba Metsi member cottage is situated in one of the most beautiful positions on the farm with views across a valley that extends beyond the garden, filled with mature fruit trees and century old oak trees. The covered patio and built in braai area looks on to a beautiful dam only 5 meters away.

Location
The farm is located outside Dullstroom on the Lydenburg Road. Once you have left the village, you will travel for 2kms and then turn right on the Kruisfontein Road. You will travel 2kms on this road until you see the sign to Thaba Metsi on the right hand side.

Syndicate
Thaba Metsi is an exclusive owner-managed flyfishing syndicate limited to 10 members only. The cost per year includes 5 full weeks that are taken from Thursday through to Tuesday of the following week. Two weeks per year will be kept aside for maintenance. The member's weeks will be allocated in 10-week cycles. Flexibility between members is encouraged with regard to the swapping of weeks if required. Half shares can be discussed. The rate for this season is R15,500 (VAT incl) per person for 5 weeks. Season runs from 1 December to end November. Anyone signing up gets charged pro rata until the end of November.

Fishing
Thaba Metsi offers syndicate members access to private waters that have only ever been fished by the owners. The waters include 5 dams that have produced excellent trout over the years. It is the intention of the owners to ensure that the waters offer fishing of the highest standard.

Fauna and Flora
Oribi, duiker, reedbuck, grey rhebuck, brown hyena, serval, caracal, jackal, and bushpig occur naturally on the farm. The bird life is superb with regular sightings of all three crane species, stanley's bustard and buffstreaked chats. Other specials include buffspotted flufftail and redbreasted sparrowhawk.

Cottage
3 Large bedrooms 3 bathrooms, 1 en-suite 1 fully equipped kitchen Open plan dining room and lounge area with fireplace Large open patio and covered patio with built in braai area Under-tile heating in living rooms All bedrooms have double French doors that open out onto the open patio area with views across the garden and valley.

Servicing
Members have the option of booking a housekeeper's service for the duration or part duration of their stay. Please refer to rates in the rules and regulations.
