Product Description
Originally tied for large stillwater trout in the Eastern Cape, this pattern has accounted for numerous trophy fish. It was tied to imitate a tadpole but as since changed a little bit and is now typically fished as a baitfish. The zonker or mink body ‘puffs out’ in the water when you pause your retrieve, and overall moves very well in the water.
Fished on either a sinking or intermediate line, you can retrieve this fly however you preferer. We’ve found that a very fast retrieve often results in a reaction strike.
The Minkie is definitely worth having in your box!
