The Copper Clouser has been a true performer for Tigerfish, originating from the original Clouser minnow design by Bob Clouser. It imitates many minnow species in the Zambezi river system.
Tied with bucktail and thick gauge copper wire, it sinks quickly which is a must on the Zambezi. Fish it when the floodwaters are pulling off the pains on the Zambezi. A quick retrieve will imitate fleeing baitfish, a highly effective fly that does not sink as fast as the standard Clouser, allowing you to fish it in the shallow water near the drop-offs.
A handful of these should be standard in any Tiger box and darker colours work well in low light.
