Two countries, two breath-taking vistas. Fishing for wild rainbow, brown trout and King Salmon in Patagonia.

Wild rainbow brown trout and King salmon in Patagonia. Crystal clear glacial waters, wild brown and rainbow trout with the Osorno Volcano in Chile and Andes mountains in Argentina as your backdrop – join us in one of our most favourite parts of the world!

A split trip between two countries and river systems with sweeping views.

We start off with 4 days of fishing the cool clear waters of the Puelo river in Chile which gives the angler opportunities of hooking into beautiful aggressive wild browns and rainbows and when they are running, which is in March, a crack at the powerful King Salmon (Chinook).

From there we travel on over the majestic Andes into Bariloche, Argentina for 4 days of drifting and fishing the famous Limay river, renowned for its wild rainbows and browns, this time of year tempting massive pre-spawn browns.

You will travel out each day and drift and fish the full day out on the water. Two anglers to a drift boat, superb riverside lunches and return in the evening to small rustic family-owned lodges with excellent meals and superb Malbecs wines.

Fishing is hugely varied and non stop action. Swinging big streamers under brush piles for the buttery browns lying in ambush. Technical drag free drifts with dries and nymphs for discerning rainbows in backwaters and drop-offs. In addition to that the possibility of a big salmon on the 9 wt if they are about. All while on the move from a drift boat.

Equipment includes 5 and 6 weights with floating lines and sinking shooting heads for the trout. When in season for the salmon 9 and 10 weights with heavy shooting heads.
