Taking inspiration from Jimmy Eagelton's original DMA, this variation incorporates mainly SF for the tail and body, allowing for a more pronounced profile in the water. The use of SF also allows for a durable fly. Unlike the original, this variation also includes large silver stick-on eyes, acting as a trigger.
The DMA was designed to target Cob along the West Coast of South Africa. The idea is to bounce this fly along the rock bottom without getting stuck, and if it does happen to get snagged, one is able to dislodge the fly easily as a result of jig hook.
