The months of October, November, and December bring the spectacular Mexican Sardine Run off Magdalena Bay. Massive shoals of sardines migrate up the coast, attracting countless predatory fish, birds, and mammals. To be part of this spectacle feels as if you have a starring role in a high energy, oceanic BBC Attenborough documentary. Thick concentrations of baitfish are corralled by giant dolphinfish, wahoo, sharks, and packs of marauding striped marlin. On the periphery, a mass of sea lions, dolphins, and whales all join the action. It’s cast, strip, hang on and keep those knuckles away from the reel.

We have teamed up with our good friends George and Rudy from the US who started a unique operation. These visionaries have created something truly magical, blending a working Mexican fishing village, the gateway to what must be the wildest saltwater fishery in the world, into a world class, truly authentic guest experience.

Their season is short and understandably full. We go in prime early marlin season, which also offers incredible species diversity, including inshore fish like yellowtail and roosterfish that are still around at this time.

We have a custom-tailored program: six full days of fishing, single rooms, and all flights and transfers arranged.
