A variation on the Teal and Red, the Peter Ross is a traditional wet fly invented by Peter Ross from Scotland in the 1890's. It gained its popularity for both trout and sea trout, and fished well in both rivers and stillwaters alike. The pattern has stood the test of time and is still used for trout in South African stillwaters today.
