The Woolly Bugger must be one of the most versatile and productive flies around. The marabou tail and in most cases a palmered body suggest a small juvenile bait fish, insect larva, tadpoles or leeches that trout can resist. It works well in larger sizes for Bass.
Fish the Pancora version in the colder months in the spawning season, fast retrieves in the deeper water and slow retrieves in shallow water, you will not go wrong. Accounts for big fish in winter, a must for any fly box.
