Proudly South African Shilton reels are quite simply bullet proof. They have been tackling special fish for us ever since Tony Fritelli, the talented engineer who designed them, gave an SL7 to Jono Boulton in the early 2000s when it landed it's first Atlantic salmon on the Ponoi River in Russia. That same reel is still in service and subdued striped Marlin in Magdalena bay, Mexico just the other day, 25 years later!
These reels are made from the highest quality machined aluminium, feature a classic cork drag system and are easy to maintain on and off the water. We stock the full range, including the rugged SL and SR saltwater range to the delicate CR freshwater range.
A variety of custom colours are available and mixing different coloured components from reel seats to drag knobs can make for a lot of personalised fun.
