The DDD, or 'Duckworth’s Dargle Delight', is probably the most well known dry fly to South Africans. Originally tied with Klipspringer, the DDD has changed much over the years. It's useful on both rivers and stillwaters, and depending on what size you fish, it can imitate a host of insects.
It's a buoyant, versatile dry fly that finds itself in the box of almost every South African fly fisherman, and rightfully so.
